when to give hostess gifts

My shower is tomorrow and I had to scrap my original idea of birthstone rings as hostess gifts for my mother and step-mother in law due to price issues so now I am going with bottles of wine/favorite adult beverages.  I don't really have time to go out tonight to buy them or tomorrow morning before my shower but I would have time afterwards.  Would it be bad form to give them the gifts on sunday?

I've never seen gifts given to a host during a shower.  I sent a gift/thank you after the shower.  If I were you, I would send or deliver the gift with a nice thank you note when you have time after your shower.

I agree. wait till sunday to give them the thank you gifts, as its usually a private thing.
