Baby Names

Boy names are more difficult!

I'm 35 weeks along and expecting a boy.  With my daughters who are 12 and 7, it seemed much easier to choose a name.  We have a boy name picked out, but I don't LOVE it like I did their names!  It's Carson Brent.  I like it and DH likes it and it's the only one we agree on.  The middle name is after DH.

Re: Boy names are more difficult!

  • I think you picked a good boy name.  I am having a girl and we were set on our boy name before our US and are clueless about girl names.  So I am going to disagree with you on that issue. :)

  • I totally think girl's names are more difficult. We had a list of 5 great names before DS was born. The choice was simple when he came out. We were calling him Dexter during the pregnancy but when he came out he was a Felix.

I've been thinking about names for this time and I still like most of the boy names we had originally chosen but we cannot agree on girl names. At all.

  • I agree, boys names are so hard.  We can't find a name that we both LOVE.  Ugh.  I like that the mn has a meaning.

  • Good pick! My son is Carson. We settled on it because it was my grandfather's middle name and I was very close to him before he died. It was really hard for us to pick a boy name, this time I'm hoping its a girl because Carson is the only one I liked! I was not in LOVE with the name, but of course now that my little boy is named that I think it's the best name on earth :)
  • Thanks everyone!  I'm sure that when I see his little face and hold him, I will fall in love with him AND his name!
