I'm on the 2 week schedule now...which almost sends me into a "it's almost time" panic but not quite...
Weight only up 1 pound (*PHEW*) - blood pressure good - baby is measuring big but progressing along the bell curve.
funny story - my DS has felt "Twerp" kick now and DH keeps trying to but every time he puts his hands on my belly, Twerp just calms right down and stops. Yesterday Twerp was going beserk all morning so while we were waiting for the OB to come in, DH puts his hands on my belly and tries patiently to wait for a kick. Nothing. Then doc comes in and he jokes that he doesn't believe there's really a baby in there while doc puts the doppler on my belly to get his heartbeat. Not one second later
*THUMP*
And I start laughing - twerp kicked the doppler!!! My doc starts laughing and tells my DH "there's DEFINATELY a baby in there!" and I'm cracking up because now everyone except DH has felt baby kick....
My doc asks if I have any questions and I remember that I had one - but couldn't remember what it was (see previous post about "baby ate my brain"!!) So she rattles off what must have been the top 10 questions she typically gets (they were the ones you can usually find on the 1st tri national boards...) and I look at her with a funny look and say "I'm PREGNANT - not disabled" she doesn't miss a beat and says "can you stay and tell that to the REST of my patients?!"
We all had a good laugh.
next appt in 2 more weeks - this last 10 weeks is going to fly by. I'd better get something for this baby to sleep in, to ride in the car with, to wear...etc!! ![]()
Re: Routine Doctor's appt. yesterday
HA! Looks like your husband will be the default baby soother once the kid makes an entrance!
Glad the appointment went well, and woo for the 2-week schedule!
Yay for good doctors appointments!
My munchkin hates the monitors especially. She tries to kick them off the belly when we do our NST's i swear it.
Glad everything is going well! 10 weeks isn't so long... well ask me what I said 10 weeks from now lol
That is too funny the way that works
