I woke up last night with pain right at the point of my pelvic bone, and it hurt to roll over. It still hurt when I was getting ready this morning, with a little pressure in my tailbone area too, and I even woke DH up to tell him I thought I broke my crotch, though I wasn't sure how I did it. It felt muscular, and I did work out last night, but I didn't really do anything differently, and couldn't figure out how even if I over stretched, I could possibly have stretched out that region. I mean, if my inner thighs hurt, ok, but the nether regions, really?
It hurt walking to work this morning, so of course the first thing I did was google it, and found this - Symphysis pubic dysfunction. It's apparently a real thing, caused by the hormone relaxin (that sounds made up, I know). It seems a little early for me to be getting it, because I'm just entering 2nd tri, but who knows. I was trying to figure out if I did anything to cause it, and found that squats can aggravate it, and the pain shows up a few hours later. Bingo, I did squats last night. Ironically, I was doing them because the rest of the class was doing exercises on their bellies, which I thought better to avoid. Ugh, I hope with rest and some kegels and exercises to help it I can make it better. I will mention it to my doctor next time I talk to her. I just don't want this to get worse, if it's really what it is, or it's going to be a long 6 months. I feel like such a dummy and a weirdo now with my impaired pelvis
