Drew is almost walking so I want to get him some sandals for summer. I bought these form Old Navy yesterday:
But I am not sure if I like them. I just don't think boys sandals are cute I'd get him some flip flops, but where he is just learning to walk that won't help.
Re: Can I see your boys sandals?
He's got something like what you showed plus some leather ones like this:
I don't like Crocs (neither does he) and prefer a closed toe sandal. We've got a lot of rocks and sticks in our woods and I don't want him stubbing his big ole feet.

keens in navy
salt water sandals original in brown
DS has a pair of these (or something similar) from Target that he wears 99% of the time. They rubbed his feet funny at first, but he didn't seem to mind and now he's broken them in well. His feet are so tiny and narrow that I had the worst time finding him something in his size that fit him right.
We also have a pair of these Keens for him (from 6pm), but they're still too big. The smallest size they come in is a 4. I'm hoping he'll grow into them by the end of the summer, but since he's still wearing clothes from last summer...
I also love love love flip flops on little boys and crocks, but there aren't any small enough for DS. I think he could manage them since he's been walking a while.
What size is Declan in? Drew is a 4 - but all 4's are big on him.
{Ava 5.16.06} {Ella 12.29.07} {Drew 2.9.10}
We have the same Keen's posted above & a pair of Croc Littles size 2/3 (because they run big). DS2 wears a size 4.
Sorry for the weird formatting....
Eli (19 mos, size 6 shoes!) has the Keen Newport H2s in orange, Crocs in Blue, a pair of flip-flops with the elastic around the back, and he has these from TCP:
So far, the Keens are the total favorite.
We used to love Keens but they no longer work for our kids. Just an FYI: if your kids have wide or normal width feet they'll be fine, but if your kids have narrow feet forget the Keens. They are much wider than many other shoes and just don't work on narrow feet at all.
Seems like many shoe manufacturers assume that all kids (especially infants/toddlers) have wide, chubby little feet. Shoe shopping for kids with extremely narrow feet is HARD!
DS had these last summer and I got both pairs again for this summer:
