baby kicking high at 25-26 weeks?

Friday I will be 26 weeks. My baby must do somersaults because she is always kicking in a different spot! Lately, I have been feeling her kick on my right side, just a few inches below my boob...I know my uterus isn't that high up yet. Anyone know why you can feel kicks that high up?

I do all the time. He likes to get right next or  under my ribs all the time too. Fun fun fun!!!

I'm only 19wks and the child is kicking up above my belly button and all over.  If they are strong enough, they'll kick where ever they want!  LOL!

yep. most of the time he/she is kicking up that high...

I wondered about this with my son a lot. I felt like there was a TON of pressure on my ribs, but I was only 25 weeks, so I said to my MW, "That's not my baby, is it? I think it's too early for him to be that high..." but he was! The pressure turned into kicks within a day or two, and he kept his feet lodged there on my right side until he was born. It was a pain sometimes, as it didn't even make a difference when he "dropped," but I could always tell that he was head down based on where he was kicking, because kicking would mean a swift punch to my rib cage. Another disadvantage is that he expanded my ribcage so much that it didn't go back to its original size, so I went up one or two bra sizes.

I've been having that happen for a couple of weeks.  Perhaps our LO's are kicking lower, but kicking organs..so it makes the kicks feel higher?? Or maybe their kicks are just vibrating off other body parts? I have no idea!

I have a shorter torso than the average person, and yesterday my doc told me that my fundal height is 21 cm. Given that info, I could expect some kicks very high soon...but lately my baby likes to kick very low, as in cervix low. LOL

Just this week baby has been kicking alot up by my ribs.  I love that he's doing it so hard that I can see my stomach moving alot.  I think it just has to do with how baby is moving and flipping around.

Baby kicks me right under my boob all the time! That's when I can see her kicks the most, I'm guessing because it's a tight spot? I don't know. She kicks me all over really...especially favoring the bladder and cervix.

I'm 24 wks (tomorrow) and I have felt a couple of higher up kicks.. it's strange because I'm so used to them being much lower.

 I am not looking forward to kicks in the ribcage though

I'm at 28 weeks and I feel kicks up in my right ribs and I guess he's punching me in the cervix lol. And he moves A LOT!

I am 24 weeks and started getting kicks very high at like 20 weeks. I have a short torso and even surprised the tech when she looked and saw how high my uterus actually was!
