Location of BH?

When you have Braxton Hicks, where do you feel it?  I always thought I'd feel them in my lower abdomen, like a cramp, but today, they've been only in my upper abdomen, right below my ribs.  Is this normal?

With DS I felt them in my whole belly.  They weren't painful for me, everything would just tighten up.

I think so.  Mine are usually lower, but I have noticed my upper abs getting really tight.  There was another thread today (maybe on Aug '11? 2nd Tri?) about upper ab tightening.  One of the gals replied that her doctor said that was actually BH.

. This. Dr told me if it's the whole belly it's Braxton hicks. If it just on part it is probably the baby pushing on you.

My OB nurse said they are in the belly button area.
