what kind of ergo did you get and why?

The Sport.  Mainly because DH is a bigger guy and the sport has a bigger waist belt and shoulder straps.

The 'Sport' becuase DH is tall and wanted the extra length in the shoulders.

sport because it's cooler and with average temps hoovering around 100 here in the summer that was important to me

I got the sport because it was on babysteals and it was a great deal.

original, because it was big enough for dh, and i live in a pretty cold climate so i didnt worry about it being slightly warmer

Ergo Sport because (1) it is lighter weight/cooler than the original and (2) because it was on BabySteals.com for $57 back in February.

Sport (with waist extension) because DH and I are both fat and he is built very broad so we needed the extra. Also, it is more breathable, and it was on Babysteals for cheap!

Sport because:

A) I wanted DH to be able/want to wear it, and it has longer straps and is all black

I like that the hood can tuck away in the pocket

C) Ventilation slit which I thought would make it cooler in a warm climate/summer

This! I've seen it a few times since then... so maybe keep your eye out if you aren't in a hurry to buy!

This!  I borrowed a friends' to try it out w/ another friend's child & really liked it!  Oh, plan to order an infant insert soon too...

Sport because it was a nicer, softer fabric, and the straps are more universal. 

The performance one seems super-amazing - which I had that one.

I got the organic but only because the color I wanted was only for the organic one.
