I'm wearing a new non-maternity, but uber comfy stretchy dress from White House/Black Market and DH just said to me, "Yea, you might not want to wear that dress anymore, you're getting too big for it." "It's not very flattering" OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WHAT? I am dumbfounded - this was supposed to be one of my transition dresses... Uhh - I can't wait until I announce at work next week so I can stop looking like the office lush and start rocking my bump.

His comment was harsh - I'm going to get MUCH larger and not all of my clothes are going to be sweet babydoll dresses.

Re: "Unflattering Dress"
Tell me you dope-slapped him.
I'm living in black yoga pants with long enough shirts to hide that they are yoga pants this week.
This 100%. That's awful...I'm sorry.
Men are stupid. Do you think he just meant that he could see your bump & was suggesting that you shouldn't wear it because you would not be able to hide your bump in that dress if you're not "out" at work yet? (Grasping at straws here?!)
ETA: Although the "It's not flattering" comment throws me for a loop-- what does he think will be "flattering" when you are 8 months pregnant?
This. What a meanie!!
This! Maybe he needs to "accidentally" read some of these responses
Totally agree! I plan on rocking a bikini this summer too. I think both men and mothers don't understand that maternity fashion has changed from ugly billowy tops and dresses to cute stretchy things that show off the bump! Thanks Heidi Klum! haha
