I'm really sad right now because my home town has declared a state of emergency due to the extreme flooding. I've seen pictures that my family members have posted on facebook and it literally made me cry.. i just can't believe it. The city park is under water, churches, homes... everything is being destroyed. People are being rescued from their homes, schools are closed, and now people who live along the Ohio River are being asked to evacuate their homes by 10am Wednesday... it's just so sad... The flood walls are going up because the impact is expected to be record breaking flooding
on the Ohio River... I'm so scared for everyone back at home. Please keep them in your prayers. ![]()
Re: Flooding :(
thinking of you, your family & town!
i noticed you mentioned the ohio river.. in a non-creepy way, where are you located? i'm in WV; near the OH/KY/WV border. we've had a ton of rain here too the past 2 weeks, and more is expected this week. they closed the flood gates last month here too..
My family/friends are all close to Paducah, KY.
oh. that's about 4-5 hours from me. the other side of KY. i know the rain isn't suppose to let up much this week.. i hope everyone stays safe!

Keeping you in my T&P's! I know how horribly helpless you feel. In 2008 we lost our entire city due to hurricane Ike. Hope everything works out!
