Back from the beach and question...

We're back from the beach and we had a great time! The weather was perfect and we really enjoyed the break. Except for one little thing...leave it to AF to put a damper on a fun weekend Sad

I've been on the long Lupron protocol since 4/11. The RN said I may get a period and I may not, and I had read on the board that some girls just have a little spotting and never really have a period while on Lupron. Well I was on BC for 21 days (4 of those days overlapping with Lupron), then AF arrived last Sunday AM. A typical stay for her would be about 5-7 days with the last couple of days being really light. This month's AF has been one crazy bltch! I went for a suppression check on Wednesday and they said everything looked fine though.

TMI ahead...Today is cd8 and she still doesn't show signs of leaving. I don't have a "heavy" flow, but it's not exactly light either. Over the weekend I've ranged from nothing at all, to a fair amount of brown spotting, to bright red bleeding, back to spotting, nothing at all...so on and so forth. Today is bright red and not exactly tapering off. I'm so confused!!! I just want it to end already!

We start stims tonight (follistim and menopur, along with lupron). Do you think those will have any affect? Has anyone had a period like this? Any advice at all would be appreciated. I am so completely irritated by AF right now!

Thanks for reading! I hope everyone's had a very Blessed Easter!

We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And HOPE does not dissappoint.

I'm sorry, hon.  The stims should make AF stop.  If not, I would go ahead and call your RE.  Good luck!!

  • I am on synarel (similar to Lupron) and b/c of what I was told and what I have read I too was expecting a lighter period.  Ummm, yeah, it is as heavy as the one that followed our IVF in Jan/Feb, which is not my 'norm'.

    Good luck tonight! :)
