u/s tomorrow vs Thurs?

So following my spotting episode yesterday, the on call doctor told me to have my ultrasound on Monday instead of the scheduled one on Thursday. That would be great, except I'll be alone Monday - not Thursday. I'm really conflicted. I want to know what's going on with this pregnancy, but I'm terrified of getting bad news and being by myself. I know that if it's a bad outcome, the u/s date won't make a difference. Also I'd love for DH to see LO. I think it would make it seem more real to him (though he doesn't have much time left at work and could use the time later).  

Ugh, I just don't know if I should do it tomorrow or on Thursday. I'll talk to DH about it again.

 

What do you guys think?

That's a tough choice!!! I am very impatient so I think I would go tomorrow but do whatever you and Dh are most comfortable with! I am thinking nothing but good vibes for you!

I'm leaning more toward thursday. We're supposed to have a meeting with the nurse after the u/s anyway. I'd probably reschedule that if i did it on monday. Part of me wants to just put it off. I don't want to know. But that part of me isn't bleeding right now either. If I were, it would probably be a different story. *knocks on wood*crosses self*throws salt over shoulder*

It will be good to have DH there too! I think your right since spotting stopped just sticking with your original plan will be better for everyone!

I was out of town this weekend, so I didn't get to respond to your posts before, but I am so glad go see that the bleeding has stopped. If you can wait until Thurs, it would be great to have your DH there with you!

I know, if it goes well I think it would be really nice to share the experience with DH. Neither of us have been to a good u/s before. Also, I'm making these diet/activity changes - changing my life and DH really hasn't had to do anything (except change kitty litter). I just want it to sink in a little more so I'm not a crazy woman worrying about everything.

Hmmm.  Tough one.  I probably couldn't wait, so I would go tomorrow.  But the bottom line is that the results will be the same whether you get them tomorrow or Thurs, but Thurs you will have DH to celebrate with (thinking positively) so if you can possibly wait, I would and between now and then just remind yourself today you are pg and you love your baby.  ::Good vibes::

I would for sure want to get it done Monday!  There's no way DH can take an early lunch or go in a little late or something so he can go?  If not, I saw recruit a close friend or family member to come with you...

It's a tough decision.  I had my U/S that showed my loss when I was by myself because my husband ended up working late and it was really difficult.  I really wished he was there with me so it would probably be good advice to wait until Thursday.  That way he can celebrate with you because FX all is well.  However, saying that I'm kind of a hypocrite because I don't think I could stand to wait.  Sorry if this doesn't help.  My first ultrasound is Tuesday and I can hardly think about anything else.

I would probably wait. It's a great sign your spotting has stopped, and it would be nice to have your DH with you. Our last u/s were awful, my DH was so excited this time and saw the hb before me. I wouldn't change that moment for anything. Also, giving your LO a few more days will mean there is more to see!

It sounds to me like you have already made your decision.  You really want your DH to be there, and that's understandable.  If you can keep yourself from worrying too much for four days, then try and wait.  It's really great that the spotting stopped, so I am very happy to hear that news.  Good luck and update us when you have completely decided.
