Easter Reveal - what's your plan?

I had a plan involving plastic eggs and an ultrasound photo, but DH thinks it's silly. Back to square one.

Are you making the announcement tomorrow? What's your plan?

I think that is really cute, too!! We are giving bib and sock sets to my in-laws tomorrow. My MIL graduated from the University of South Carolina and my FIL graduated from Clemson, so I found the cutest sets with the team colors on them. Can't wait!!

Good Luck!! I say you go with your idea anyways. They will love it!!!

This is what we are doing tomorrow. Next weekend we have an Easter celebration and the basket hunt is the big deal so we got a basket with a 4 generation frame, a couple onesies, and a card for the great grandparents. We are putting the ultrasound photo in the frame.

I made mine a long time ago BUT I did read an awesome way to announce which I wish I had read sooner.

you get your family for a family photo and set the camera on a timer. You fly into the picture and when the camera starts flashing red frantically, warning you that its about to snap you yell " WERE HAVING A BABY" and SNAP....you get everyones reaction caught on a picture that will last you a lifetime! And its an awesome picture to put in a baby book! (maybe have another camera rolling on video to revisit everyones reaction when you want!

I actually announced to my youth group and our church friends that way on Friday. The picture is absolutely priceless!!! One of my youth group kids actually got their hands on the reaction picture and had it blown up. It's hysterical to see everyone's faces. It was a wonderful way to tell everyone and you will always have that special memory preserved.

That is the sweetest thing ever!!! I have never heard of that idea, but it's so great!

I actually put a riddle into the egg for my cousin to find. It says:

An Easter riddle for the whole family: What's pink or blue and due in November?

I printed the u/s picture on regular paper with the answer Baby F above it. I folded it up in the same egg and had DH write ANSWER on it.

DH didn't say it was dumb, but he did tell me I put way to much thought and time into it since no one else is going to care. I beg to differ, but I guess we'll see!

I told my parents yesterday. I went over to my parents and told my mom that I had gotten a little something to go with all her Easter decorations she's been collecting. It was a book called "Easter at Grandmas". Took her a second, but she was very excited. Everyone else we will just be telling, nothing fancy.
