I remember a while back some one mentioning one of the local hospitals offering a specific rate that covered the entire delivery...Does this sound familiar? If so- How does it work? A co-worker was looking for something like this, as her maternity coverage kinda stinks.

Re: Baby and No Insurance (or underinsured)?
There's a flat rate program at Good Sam that includes all prenatal care and delivery (a friend of mine is using it now). They mention it close to the bottom of this page but I couldn't find any more specific info... https://www.trihealth.com/whe/mat/mat_faculty_medical_center.aspx
There are options for vaginal delivery AND for c-section.
Also, if a person is pregnant and unmarried (so that only their income is a factor) there is a decent chance she could qualify for Medicaid to cover her and her baby's medical costs.
I also wanted to add, she's been very pleased with her care. She was concerned about how she'd be treated but nobody has said or done anything that made her feel anything but good and well care for. All anybody wants is for women to take care of them selves and their babies while pregnant - who cares how it's paid for!!
All of this!
Prices Are (I have my Good Sam Pregnancy Book Out)
$2400 (vaginal)
$2900 (cesarean)
Their financial Assistance Income Guidelines are VERY generous (IMO)
I have numbers listed as:
Bethesda North OB/Gyn Center (513) 865-1631
Good Samaritan Faculty Medical Center (513) 862-2563
