How often do you need to lanolize?

Do you need to wash before you re-lanolize?

    I'm not sure if this is right, but I wash and lanolize at the same time.  I use eucalan wash (it's no rinse) and just add some lanolin every second time I wash.

    I  only re-lanolize after I wash.

    I wash when the wool gets soiled or is still stinky after an airing
