(Warning: Vent ahead) The electrician was in our office over the lunch hour fixing a couple of the lights. I wasn't here and he left before I came back, but the place still smells like an ashtray. I really feel like I could vomit from this smell, but my co-workers swear they can't smell anything. He left some equipment behind, so I can only assume he'll be back before the day is over. This is going to be a long afternoon. Thanks for letting me vent!
Re: Pregnancy nose stinks :-(
I know what you mean. It seems like the farther along I become the more sensative my nose is. Which is wierd to me since my nose and sinuses have always been clogged and not worked well. I walked into work the other day and was like WTH is that smell?! Turns out the cleaning people left a sub wrapper in the trashcan and I sniffed it out from about 30 feet away.
Just wanted to say you arent alone. Hang in there!
DH joked the other day that it's too bad there isn't some temporary job that only pregnant women can get for their super noses. Like a bomb sniffing dog.
I ignored the dog part.
My nose has never been a great sniffer, either. Last night I was blown away, though. I was laying in bed watching tv and my Hubby went to our spare bathroom to take a shower so that the shower noise wouldn't interfere with the tv. He took his shower then went to his computer to play his fave game. When he opened the door to the spare bathroom - I could smell his shampoo and body wash.
Usually I have to put my nose ON HIM to smell those scents. It was insane. And to illustrate the insanity, I was 100 feet away and around 6 corners.
My nose has never worked like this. Fortunately, I seem to have a good filter still. Can't smell things like cig smoke or rotten fruit. But I can smell yummy things like a clean Hubby and a baking pie.
I'm having the same problem and it really does stink!!!
There is something in my fridge/freezer that is making my ice smell bad...DH thinks I'm crazy.
Someone was eating peanut butter in the kitchen at work, with the door closed, and I could smell it at my desk. I would like to say that my desk and the kitchen are about 25-30 feet away, maybe more, I'm not to good at distance.
We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner with friends last night and someone we were with had hot wings...the smell was nauesating.
