Thursday Exercise Check-in

I'll keep posting this until someone else wants to do it.  Again, please excuse me if I'm stepping on any toes.

I had kickboxing yesterday.  It was a great class.  I got to practice my high kicks which always makes me happy.  Actually, any kicks make me happy.  Anyways, I'll be going to the gym to do some cardio later on today.  I'm having a fat, miserable, unattractive, want to go hide in a cave type of day, so I'm hoping doing cardio at the gym will help elevate my mood.

  • Oh that's awesome! I did not exercise at the gym yesterday, but walked around Manhattan after my doctor's appointment for several hours.  Today, I walked briskly back and forth to yoga class.  I was going to go for a run, but my knees feel really crappy today.  At my doctor's appointment I was told to do more cardio and really work at working out and eating healthy- I've gained 14 pounds and I'm only 8 weeks. I've been taking it fairly easy, walking and doing yoga, but have really been careful not to have too much junk food.

    Maybe I will try and find a kickboxing class or video- I LOVE kickboxing!

  • nada yesterday. tonight i'll either be heading to the gym or taking the dog on a 5 mile walk

  • All of you are superwomen!  I can barely find the energy to walk around the neighborhood with the husband a couple days a week.  I just ordered a prenatal yoga DVD the other day so hopefully when that arrives I can start being a little more active.

  • I did the P90X kenpo video this morning. Basically a kickboxing type thing.

  • I did P90X before my wedding.  That was one of the reasons I wanted to do kickboxing.  Actually working with bags and not dealing with Tony being freaking annoying is so much better :)

     I very much enjoy actually punching and kicking something besides the air.  It's so much more satisfying to feel the impact.  I think I have anger management issues.

  • I did the elliptical for about 45 minutes this morning and then lifted some 10 pound weights for a couple of reps.  (I like to lift weights while watching the morning news).  Even though I've been working out regularly, for some reason, today I felt like I was starving!  I kept eating about every hour.  (I have a snack drawer at work, so I kept trying to find good things to eat).  This is the first day I have really been super hungry!  Anyone else experiencing this intense hunger?
