Sigh of relief! Heard the h/b :)

Good Morning! I am walking on clouds this morning.  Just wanted to post this because after reading all of the m/c posts lately, I just knew that was going to be me today. I was so nervous for my doctor's appointment today because even though we saw our lo's heartbeat on an u/s at 6.5 weeks, I just had a feeling something was wrong.  Thankfully, my nerves were just getting the best of me!  My dr said that everything looks great and we heard the heart beating away!  For those of you who have not heard it yet - just wait!  It is the most amazing sound and feeling.  The h/b was in the 150's.  I asked if this was low and she said nope, sometimes it is lower in the mornings since they aren't bouncing around yet :)  It feels like 18 elephants have been lifted off of my chest!  Ahh!  Bring on all of the "how are you feeling?!" and tummy rubs this Easter weekend!

  • That is AMAZING news!  I'm really happy for you.  I'm going through the same thing right now, and I have to wait until 1pm for mine, but I hope I'm feeling like you when I'm done!

And I totally hear you about the 18 elephants...UGH!

  • Cran I was just about to post on your post below!  Try not to stress, darlin'.  I wish I hadn't been as stressed as I was because I did not sleep at all last night.  I have had chest pains from my anxiety and even went so far as to play out in my head what would happen had they not found the h/b.  All of that for nothing!  Try breathing exercises, they really helped me relax and finally fall asleep last night.  Until then, stop reading sad posts.  That (and my sister recently having a loss at 16 wks) is what did me in.  It's hard not to, but try to not compare yourself to others.  Good luck and let us know how it goes!

  • What great news! I felt the same exact way until I picked up her/his heartbeat with the fetal monitor last night. It was SUCH a relief.

This is wonderful news!  I too am on your same path....saw the heartbeat at 6.5 weeks and just have been feeling off lately and have been nervous.  I have an US today, so I hope my results are just as positive.  Thank you for the post!

Thank you for your words of encouragement!  I leave here in about half an hour, and I'm on pins and needles.  Your evening sounds EXACTLY like mine was.  I just wish I could've gone this morning and not had to wait all day!
