So I have a job interview next week.

At 38.5 weeks pregnant.

I work government, so I'm not sure how it all would work if I end up moving to another department (the interview is sort of internal to government, but not remotely connected to where I work now).

I couldn't say no. I really don't like my job, and going back to work somewhere that I might like my job would be really attractive. At the same time, I have a sweet year of maternity leave lined up here, and I won't give that up.

What a weird day.

I won't transfer unless my leave transfers. I think it would, but I would need to check the union agreement with my new group to verify that the pay benefits match up. 

What the heck do I wear? I'm guessing yoga pants do not cover job interviews. 

At least I have something to do for my first week off! I need to study.

I don't even own a dress that fits... I don't think. I do have a skirt, now that I think about it. It was in a bag of stuff I bought. I haven't had an excuse to wear it!

I would have two potential issues: if they need someone to start soon, I simple can't/won't. And my current department will top up my unemployment benefits for my year off, but only if I come back for an equal period to my leave. And I'm not sure if coming back to a new department counts as coming back.

All this is hypothetical, of course. I'm going to go to the interview, and if they make me an offer, I'll talk to HR on both sides and check what my real options are. I need the interview practise, anyway.

That's awesome! I hope it works out for you.

I would wear black leggings. They are versatile and yet so comfy. You could dress them up with a nice top and if you're feeling up to it, throw on some heels.
