When we were all on 0-3 month, people would rave about things to help their baby sleep (RnP, bedsharing, swaddling, Magic Sleepsuits, pacifiers etc., etc.)
I just think it's interesting now to see all these posts "how do I break my child of the swaddle?" "He won't sleep in anything but the RnP!", etc.
Just funny that the things we raved about earlier are a PITA now. I will say that I am guilty of bedsharing, RnP and pacifier. I am thankful that I stopped using all these around 5 months. I also know that I am lucky that our crib transition went fairly smooth.

Re: This trend is interesting...
Ha! Yep! I think anything goes for the first 3-4 months, within reason.
I lucked out and D transitioned from the RnP to the crib with GREAT ease at 6 weeks.
Also, he started taking a pacifier just two weeks ago and it's the greatest thing ever. I am not worried about weaning anytime soon. At all.
The two men in my life. Oh, and I have a husband too...
I totally agree. I thought the RnP was akin to the second coming of Jesus when DS slept for 4 hours straight in it. I wanted to suggest it to every single pregnant lady at Babies R Us.
Meh, I think I can now safely say that, after B's hellish wakeful period, the four months of good sleep we got with the sleepsuit were well worth the four nights it took to wean her from it.
Bahaha!
A's still taking naps in the swing. We just started "weaning" him off of the swing. He's, unfortunately, going to outgrow it soon. He HATED being swaddled past about a month old so I got really lucky with that.

This is sooo true!!! DH and I were just talking about how glad we are to be past the newborn stage with all the sleepless nights!
I totally would not take back the great sleep we had when DS was in his RnP or bedshared. It was totally worth it at that time.
