Holy Moly, There is a Baby In There!!

DH and I had our first ultrasound yesterday to see our little peanut and it was amazing!! The little bugger was wiggling, punching, kicking and even waved hello twice! DH and I were grinning from ear to ear the entire time.  The tech said that she didn't usually see babies that "hyperactive," so maybe it was a preview of what is to come. It was absolutely magical.  I feel so blessed to have this little baby inside of me.

The baby was measuring right on track with my LMP, rather than my O date, so my due date was moved up by 4 days to 11/7.  I'm skipping ahead to lime a little early. 

Even better, since we saw a healthy heartbeat we have started to share the news. It is such a relief to finally tell people.  My parents have known since the beginning and I couldn't wait to tell MIL.  She was over the moon and started crying on the phone she was so excited about her first grandchild.

Did you happened to drink a soda or get anything with sugar before you went? My friend drank a really small coke and ate skittles and her baby was really moving around. I think that might try this next week for mine. I will be 10 weeks 5 days.

I had a coke in the car on the way to the appointment, so that may have had something to do with it. I also had a peppermint in my mouth during the u/s because they help with my nausea.  I definitely recommend a little sugar beforehand because it is the most amazing thing to see your LO moving around in there!

Yes! The tech took a picture of the little peanut waving and got the cutest shot of the bottom of the baby's tiny feet.  I should PIP them once I have them on my computer.

congrats! my LO was also moving around like crazy! Doc said it's because the vaginal u/s is very loud and baby was waking up or because i had sprite on my way up there! it is seriously the coolest thing ever in life.

That is so great, and wonderful that you are able to share the news with more family.  IMO, sharing the news just makes everything seem more real.

Congrats!!!! Ours was the same way, wiggling, and waving! We have a great shot of the little wave, and another awesome shot of when baby decided to do a little spread eagle and flash us-we even got to see what is/will be the little girl/boy parts. We are telling inlaws this weekend, and the rest of my family as well.  Welcome to being a lime!
