Purple nipples after pumping?

OK I was using the small horns but I noticed my nipples were turning purple after I was done (regardless of what setting I put my pump on)..  So I started using the bigger horns and now I don't get as much milk as I did with the smaller horns...  Should I just suffer with the small ones?

My nipples turned purple regardless of the horns I was using.  I think it had a lot to do with how much suction I was using.  I turn it on a little stronger with the bigger horns since I noticed I get more milk that way.  It's not uncomfortable, but a little on the noticable side.  Are you in pain with the smaller horns?  If you are getting more milk with the smaller ones, and it's not painful (even with purple nipples) then I'd say go back to the small ones.  It's a matter of personal preference.  I don't think you are hurting anything either way, depending on how much you can bear to deal with pain-wise.

thanks ya i am going back to the smaller ones...
