4 month wakeful at just over 3 months?

DS is suddenly not sleeping. Not sleeping at night, not napping. He's still doing okay in terms of temperament (or at least his fussiness is to be expected).

I can't tell what's causing this. Nothing in his environment has changed, so it's throwing me for a loop

For us, sleep was always thrown off course for a few nights (at least) when they hit a milestone. Even something small can cause an upset in their sleep patterns!

It seem like we are always experiencing the same things.  Tucker is not sleeping at night and his naps are anywhere from 30-45 minutes.  He was STTN so I don't know what the deal is now.

Yup, Ryan was my good nighttime sleeper. Reese seems to have really figured it out and has even moved toward a routine nap schedule now. 

We put Ry down last night at 9:30 - he was yawning, red eyes. He slept for an hour and then he was up crying. I put his paci in, rubbed his belly and gave him a kiss. That put him down for another 15-20 minutes. Finally after going in and settling him down, him crying, blah blah for an hour I grabbed him out of his crib and pulled him into bed with us. 

At 2 a.m. he woke up and lost it. My husband stayed up with him. At 4 a.m. when the kid still wasn't sleeping he gave him a bottle of expressed milk and that got him to sleep until 6:30.

This has been building for several days. I have *no* idea what's causing it either
