Found out my exbf has cancer

I read in the paper that my old college boyfriend has hodkins lymphoma.  For the past year he's had 24 hour chemo treatments, a bone marrow transplant and now the cancer is back and spreading.  I'm just floored.  We ended on good terms but I haven't talked to him in years. 

They are throwing a benefit for him in a couple of weeks that I can't attend.  I don't have a phone number or email for him.  And he's not on FB.  All I have is his parents address.   I'll probably send a card and a check, but I just can't help but feel that's not enough.   Its just so sad.

    That really stinks. Maybe put your e-mail in the card so he can contact you if he wants to talk, and then leave it up to him? Poor guy, that is so awful. :(

    I'm so sorry.  That's unfortunate that you can't contact him, but what can ya do if you don't have his info, ya know? I agree with Sookie, maybe leave your contact info in the card and leave it up to him.  Poor guy, he's been through too much.  :(
