Long day....

So we had a tornado warning last night at midnight which isn't the best thing when u have to decide to get the kids in to get into the crawl space! Upon seeing where the front was moving...down we went. Poor things ;( also no sleep here bc all I was doing last night was turning off the dang weather radio! I said last night the only thing that would have made it worse would have been if my water broke! Thank god it didn't! So good morning...or good night...whatever it is right now :|

Re: Long day....

  • Me too, except the rain and wind woke me up at 3am.  The tornado sirens are too quiet for me to hear where I live.  I was just going back to bed before checked the weather channel online I realized I was under a tornado warning.  I went to the basement for a little bit, and then of course when I turned on the TV when I came back up they started reporting about the Walmart being on fire and 100 mph wind reported in town, which is less than 2 minutes from my parents.  I ended up calling them (and started crying, I have no idea why) at 3:15am to make sure they were okay.  They were.  School's on a two hour delay with possibility to close because they have no power.  I'm going to be getting a weather radio this weekend, cause I can't not know when we're under a warning again, not with my LO almost here.  And of course I was already not sleeping well, and loosing several more hours doesn't help.

I'm glad you made it out okay.   I hope everyone else in the path of this is too.  (Sorry for hi-jacking your post).

  • I've been up all night working a night shift so I feel your pain on the no sleep thing. And to make matters worse it's snowing again here today in Minnesota. I am so sick of snow that I could puke. Mother Nature apparently did not get the memo that it's spring. Hope you have a good day today! I'm planning on filling mine with lots of relaxation.

  • Newark.  Its the Heath Walmart they keep talking about on the Columbus news that is close to my parents.  At least now schools been cancelled so maybe I'll take a nap. Where are you?
