That is a really interesting article, even reading it I wondered "ok so why dresses for boys until 6 or 7?". I'm sure that from that era there is a practical reason, like boys started working the farm then or something but I wish they would have shared what prompted the change at that age. I found it fascinating though that there was a time of thought that pink was better for boys and blue for girls, who knew?
The fact that things have become so entrenched in such a short time really drive home for me the power of popular thought and how much people are swayed by it.
