Re: how many CDs?

  • For the newborn stage you'll need about 12-14 diapers per day. So if you are planning on washing every other day you'd need 2 dozen diapers or so. I'd get 4-5 wraps if you're washing every other day.

  • I'm planning on 36 for nb/early infant stage, and probably 24 for the rest.  I don't want to be tied to the washing machine on a daily basis... I think that should get me 2-3 days between washes should I need it.

  • for me, a 24 hour turnaround time for laundry is waaaaay ambitious. then again, I'm not there yet. but I know how lazy I am, you may want to cut yourself some slack.

  • i do 1-2 loads of launfry a day! so how about how many a day for a 4 month old wsho doesn't poo daily?

  • I started at 6 weeks with 24 diapers.  I washed every 3 days.  Turn around time is about 3 hours for the dryer and around 10 to dry them outside.
  • Our babies were born the same day!  We use prefolds and Bummi wraps - still in the newborn size but soon to grow out of them.  We have 24 prefolds and 10 wraps which gets us through 2-3 days.  10 wraps is more than we need now, but we were thankful to have them in the newborn poop-a-thon phase :)
