so i just got home from my first appointment and it went great :):)  i got to hear the heartbeat it was strong and fast 165-170 n my doc said that normally indecated a girl whoo hoo i hope so :):)

    It's an old wives tale that you can predict the baby's sex by the heartrate, just like saying you can predict the sex by what you are craving or how you carry the baby. It's misleading (and a little disturbing) that your doctor presented this to you as a fact! My son's heartrate was always around 170. But, I hope you get the girl you want!
