How do you and your DH keep track of your social events. I made plans for a kid-free afternoon and when I went to tell DH he had already made plans to go to a baseball game (the nerve of him!
Is there a way to sync events on iCal for the iPhone?
My outlook calendar at work syncs with Google calendar. He has his calendar in his iphone set to sync with my Google calendar, so then he sees all of our events.
We use ical/iphones/ipads, etc. When I have a social event or an appt I want him to go to, either for both of us or just one of us, I 'invite' him to the event, it sends him an email and loads into his ical too. I can see if he accepts/rejects the event.
I keep a calendar in my ical called 'John' and for stuff that is just John, I label it in his calendar, if its for both of us, its labeled 'Home'. I think he has a 'Laura' calendar in his ical.

We have a google calendar that we share and put everything on it - DH has it synchronized with a networked calendar on our network at home. It also synchs with my outlook calendar. I can access it on my droid and I think DH can on his iPhone.
I put all doctor appointments, nights I know I'm working late, or he's working late, getting drinks with friends, have some plans, etc. So helpful - we started after he forgot I had a hair cut/color and I wasn't home by 7 and my phone was dead.

Is there a way to do this just through iCal on the iPhone?
Ditto the google calendars synced to our phones. We have about a million. They all show as different colors, so it's clear who is involved with which event. As M gets older, she'll get her own, too.
- Renee's
- Jason's
- Family
- Meal Planning
- Sports Schedules
- TCOYF-type stuff (lol)
- etc.
Pure awesomeness. Not to sound dramatic, but it kinda changed my life. Or at least my social and work scheduling.
Ditto this! I just access it through my laptop or any device with wifi. We share calendars and color code things.
I also have a dry erase marker board hanging in the kitchen where Sunday night I chart out the week where we have to look straight at it to be reminded of what is going on.
We use iCal and I print it out and have it on the wall. I also have a day planner next to the phone that we also reference. And if that's not enough I sent out reminders to both of us via email whenever I remember.

Ditto. It works out really great for us.
