  • We sent the e-mail today for lunch at our place for our friends

I'm doing ham and maybe sandwiches and maybe green bean casserole and potatoes au gratin...I'll decide when we get a count of who's coming

Not doing any eggs (I know, shocking, but I don't think Q's old enough.)

  • Loading the player...
  • We're going to an egg hunt in the morning and to MIL & FIL early afternoon

    Nope, not hosting. thank gawd.

Probably just plastic this year, I haven't thought about it really. I need to get it together.

I'm bringing an app. I usually do a salami, cheese, cracker, olive platter. I might make this cheesey bread thing. You take a round uncut sourdough loaf and cut squares into it (not all the way through), fill those squares with jack cheese, mix a cube of melted butter, green onions & poppy seeds and pour over. Bake in foil for 20 minutes or so. It's pretty tasty.

  • What do you have planned? We're doing brunch, and an egg hunt with the ILs in the early afternoon, then dinner at my parents house in the evening.

    Are you hosting? Nope

What food spread are you planning? I will likely bring an appetizer or dessert but that's it.

Plastic eggs or real eggs? Or both? Plastic for in the baskets and hunt for the kids, but we did dye eggs on Sunday at the ILs for fun.

Care to share any recipes??? I am always looking for ideas... nah, I'm not cooking!

  • What do you have planned?

    Fun day with the fam!

    Are you hosting?

    Yep!

What food spread are you planning?

Hot cross buns in the morning, then church.  When we get back, deviled eggs (from the eggs we will dye Saturday) as an appi, then baked ham, asparagus, and garlic mashed potato casserole.  I think lemon cupcakes for dessert.

Plastic eggs or real eggs? Or both?

We will have an egg hunt when we get home from church, finding plastic eggs with candy inside.  So, both!

    Chin Chix Salad

    Ham
    Croissants
    Fresh Fruit & Cheese
Mimosas & OJ for the kids.

Maybe some muffins if I'm feeling up to it.

  • We're going to my parent's house for brunch and egg hunting. We'll probably go over a day or two before as well to paint eggs.

I'm going to try and get creative and do another scavenger hunt for the kids in the morning at home. I did it last year and it was a huge hit. My older kids don't believe in  the EB anymore, but it's still fun for them.

We aren't religious so it isn't something we celebrate in a big way. Just a basket for the kids and spending time with family.

  • What do you have planned? egg hunt & BBQ at my parents with all extended family

    Are you hosting? nope

What food spread are you planning? they grill sausage and hot dogs and everyone brings a salad or appetizer; I'm always responsible for the carrot cake shaped like a bunny

Plastic eggs or real eggs? Or both? both

Care to share any recipes??? I am always looking for ideas... don't really have any just making a standard carrot cake w/cream cheese frostins and cutting it to be a silly bunny face

  • What do you have planned? Just church service so far

Are you hosting? nope, no one to host for.  DH insisted to stay in town so we could go to church.  I'm a bit bummed not to spend it with anyone else.  His parents are going to Fresno, his brother and family are going to SJ.  My family won't come up to see us.

What food spread are you planning? Potato salad, bread, maybe a sicilian cassatta cake (traditional for Easter), not sure what else.

Plastic eggs or real eggs? Or both? Both

  • We might go get brunch at a place by our house in the morning, but otherwise it'll just be a weekend at home for us, doing house chores and hanging out.
