I want to BF but I had a breast reduction 15 years ago at age 14 (when BFing was the furthest thing from my mind of course!) so it is unknown whether I will be able to or not. So I'd like to BF but I'm planning on FF as a back-up. Basically, I am in favor of feeding my baby, by whatever means I am capable of.
I'm also planning on breastfeeding, along with pumping so DH & family can feed baby if they'd like. I'm going to give it all I've got, but I know some women have a really hard time, I'm hoping to be able to stick with it. My best friend is also a lactation consultant, so I'm hoping she can help me, too! I laughed and told her she'd be my "breast friend". lol

I had mine at 25 and because of the repositioning of the nipples I will not be able to BF so my LO will be a bottle baby. The good thing about that is DH can help with the midnight feedings too
Breastfeeding! In fact, it was a part of the contract with our MW, to commit to breastfeeding (or genuinely trying), she helps with preparing for it and support during the first couple weeks after the birth.
For me, it's natural, cheap, and convenient. My husband works out of town, and it will be so much easier to pop out a boob than to make sure there's formula in the house. (how sad is it that my previous statement is a BIG positive for BFing?)
Breastfeeding and pumping/bottle feeding. I plan to EBF while on maternity leave and then switch to mostly bottle fed breast milk except when I am home.

My nipples were repositioned too but the doc told my mom (I found out later--I didn't care when I was 14) that he was quite confident I would be able to BF and that he had taken every possible measure to preserve that ability. He did something where he didn't disconnect the nipples (ew, I know). Here's hoping whatever he did worked!
Breastfed for first 3 months with my LO but due to lack of weight gain, I had to supplement since I was underproducing. So from 3-6 months I did both, which worked out very well. At 6 months I stopped completely.
I plant to BF #2, but am not opposed to supplementing if I have to.

That's awesome that he did that for you! Unfortunately, mine was a complete disconnect and he even had to "reshape" them - I know, disgusting! He told me before the surgery that I would not be able to BF.
I'll try to BF while I'm home this time and see how I feel about pumping again when I go back to work. I had a lot of supply problems last time and had to pump every 4 hours for the duration of BFing and had to supplement with formula anyway. I still dried up on my own at 6 months so we'll just play it by ear this time.

Breasfeeding is the goal. DH is taking a month off for paternity leaves so I will be ideally pumping too so that he can also feed the LO and get that bonding time.
I am planning to breastfeed, but if that does not work out, we are fine with formula. As long as the baby is happy and gaining weight, we will be happy!

I intend to breast feed and plan to take all the help I can get if I have trouble getting my milk started. I REFUSE to give up!

I plan to breastfeed but what's most important to me is that my babies are fed and are growing. Whatever gets me there is what I'll do.
I worry about BF because I have one breast that was augmented a few years ago. My surgeon did what he could to keep things working but we won't know if it works until after babies are born.
And that's the other thing to consider. BabieS. I quite simply might not be able to produce enough to keep them satisfied. So while I plan to BF, I'm not ruling out anything. What's important is growth. Ideal - all BF. Middle of the road - BF supplemented. And something I won't be upset about if it comes to that - all formula.
BFing again, but this time I hope to avoid formula all together. My supply tanked at 5 months with DS so we didn't make it beyond 6 months even with formula supplementation. I'll probably start pumping in the first 2-3 weeks to start building up a stash for when I go back to work.
I hope to bf this time around! Ds wan't allowed to nurse because he was so early, so i EP's until he was 12 weeks old. I hate pumping, but i hate the smell of formula too. Here's to hoping that nursing works out this time!!

This is my first and I didn't want to breastfeed but know that it is the best for the baby (and I hear that it helps with weight loss) so I will breastfeed and pump so my hubby can also help (and bond).
Breastfeed. I ended up EPing + formula supplement last time and really don't want to pump around the clock ever again. I would be happy nursing at night and on the weekends and only pumping while away from LO.

Breastfeeding all the way! I looooved nursing my babies and it's one of the things that makes me most excited about having another baby. That, and I CAN NOT imagine having to make and clean bottles with a 3rd baby, especially in the middle of the night.....I have no time and patience for that!!!

Just so some of you know that don't....WIC is a program that can help you if you are breastfeeding and even formula feeding. It is not a medicaid program and you do not have to be on goverment asstiance to apply for it. It goes on your income. They will supply a lactation consultant and if you breast feed you get food, like milk, eggs, cereal for free, and if you are formula, you get some food and your formula for free. If your baby needs oy formula, all you have to do is call the dr and let the WIC office know and you can get soy for free as well. It is worth checking into..https://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/howtoapply/incomeguidelines09-10.htm. or call your local WIC office.

I am definitely going to try to BF this time. I did last time, but I also had a HORRIBLE ductal infection that pretty much made it hell. If that were to happen again, I wouldn't push myself the same way I did before. I endured agony to continue to BF and looking back, it wasn't worth it. So -- fingers crossed over here. But I'm not going to freak out if it doesn't work.
Re: Breastfeeding or Bottle
Im hoping to EBF. A family friend of ours is a lactation consultant so Im going to have her help us get the hang of it.

I BF and Pumped with DS#1 but had to supplement as I could never keep up. More then likely this will happen with #2 but we will see.
