Today is Tuesday right...I'm too exhausted to think of one right now because I have been up since midnight for no reason...please provide something to keep me awake today:)

Too early to think of anything good, so I'll go with this:
Popcorn is nasty. It's like eating styrofoam balls. The only redeeming value is pouring tons of butter and salt on it. But honestly, if I want to eat that much butter and salt, I'm going to put it on something better than styrofoam.
I hate cute baby contests. Its not very often that your baby is actually cute enough for me to vote for it, so I dont need you to post a reminder an hour to vote for your kid, especially when there are currently 50 people on my newsfeed with their baby in this contest.

Not even smartfood? Grossly salty with fake cheese is one of my favs.

Agreed. And I'll piggyback this one too...
I HATE baby beauty contests. I think they're disgusting. If my LO wants to willingly participate in a contest when she's old enough to decide for herself, I'll consider it. But parading my child onstage when she's not even (or just hardly) old enough to walk and truly has no idea what's going on is ridiculous. At that point, it's just all about the moms.

Baby shower & registry drama really annoys me. Reading posts about hosts not "doing enough" or drama over this person wanting to host but that person being offended or people not buying enough off your registry sounds bratty and piggy. You're not entitled to a shower OR gifts OR *specific* gifts just because you are having a baby. Be thankful for what you've been given, and get over it.
I have one:) I have a lot of items on my baby registry...not expensive items, just a lot, like 128 items. I don't know what the standard number is, but my mom told me it was a lot. In my defense I am having 2 large showers thrown for me.

The way I look at it: 1) Its a helpful guide for people who don't know what to get you and want to get something you want 2) There has to be a lot of price variation with all the items you have on there so it will meet most any budget and 3) I'm sure you're not expecting all 128 items to be purchased

Ah....just thought of another one which I'm sure will win me some ire from some ladies on this board....
The mommy glitter graphics. Unless you are 21 years of age or less and/or spend at least 3 hours a day on your myspace account, it's time to give up the glittery mommy graphics.
I know it's un-popular. But......WE are not pregnant. I am pregnant. We are expecting a child....but I AM PREGNANT.
I am the one who is fat, uncomfortable, and in pain. I am the one who has to give birth. So I will eat/do/make decisions for my body that I see fit for me and baby.
You will not dictate to labor and delivery nurse what *WE* want. I will decide if I want drugs, or not. I will decide on which OB I am comfortable with, where I am comfortable delivering.....and all the stuff that will be done to MY body.

Mine is sort of silly, but I HATE white walls. I get it if you're a renter and have no choice, but I think people who actually own their own home and have every room painted white must have no creativity.
Of course, you're welcome to take this with a grain of salt as I have a house that any realtor would tell me to whitewash immediately before trying to sell (rooms are sage living room, gray with tint of purple kitchen, blue bedroom, light chocolate nursery and jewel toned purple in the bathroom).
LOL this is me!!!! I truly have no creativity or vision so almost all the walls in my house are creamy.
It's time for my mid-morning snack and I would rather be lazy and eat Hershey's kisses w/ almonds at my desk than go upstairs and eat the banana I brought from home.

The "I feel like a bad mom " posts by people who are still pregnant with child #1. They drive me friggin nuts. So you had a bad dream. So you ate a piece of sushi. Whatever, GET OVER IT. Unless you're binge drinking or doing roller derby, you're probably not a bad mom. Enough with the paranoia pity parties.

BR: I don't like being pregnant. This is just a means to an end for me - have a child! I'm tired and fat and in pain all the time.
NBR: I think people who don't recycle are lazy. Spend 5 extra seconds and put your Coke can in another bag - and if your city/town doesn't have curbside recycling then spend the 10 minutes every two weeks to drive your recycling to any grocery store, Wal-mart or Target parking lot and drop it off.

To tag on to PP's white walls post. I really don't like white nursery furniture. I think its impractical and doesn't look good.
Just wondering, how is white nursery furniture impractical?
This.
We have white nursery furniture (mostly because it was a hand me down, and we're cheap), but I love it, because it's so easy to see where it's dirty. I took a clorex wipe to it, now it's sparkling white again, and I know it's clean.
I would say that the darker woods look more refined in the room (I wouldn't want white furniture in the master bedroom, for looks purposes), but for kid's stuff it's great, because I can see the dirt. Can't see dirt too well on darker woods.

I would disgree with you... but only having freshly popped on the stove by DH these days, with the Ranch popcorn seasoning you buy at the grocery store. SOOOO good! Now I hate movie theater popcorn, which I thought I'd never say!

Your house sounds like mine - color everywhere! I love it. We haven't painted our kitchen yet and it looks so boring (very light gray). I loved the house because when we bought it the rooms were already painted fun awesome colors. I painted our last rental place last and then we broke the lease when buying our house, so I didn't care to paint them back. Our living room was a dark purple/gray color and bedroom was super dark chocolate.
After having talked with a lawyer to make sure we didn't get sued... I had to record myself calling for info on the place for new renters (disguised myself). The woman advertised the place as if the former tenants were interior decorators. Made my head a little bigger! hahaha! (I should add every wall was HIGH GLOSS BRIGHT WHITE with white trim)

My mom would say the same thing to me. It's a guide of options for people to purchase. It's not like you're saying "Get me all 128 items!" Shoot, the guy at BRU told us to put 250 items on our registry. He figured if they're small $5 items, you want more because people will buy more when it's cheaper. I think we have 150 items on our list (actually, I think it's less than that). Some of it's on there (like furniture) so after all the showers are said and done we can go purchase that with a coupon or whatever. I do NOT expect people to purchase the furniture on the list nor do I expect them to purchase our travel system.

I hate it when infants and even toddlers have had their ears pierced.... It can't be comfortable for them to sleep with and I think those mommies are just tacky....

I sleep with my earrings in every night, I actually dont ever take them out, and Ive never once had them be uncomfortable. Same for my 5 year old daughter, her's only come out to change them & they go right back in, she sleeps with them in & she has never complained not even when they were freshly pierced.

I completely disaggree I think its better to do this while they are young. They dont remember it. You can take care of it and they wont tug on their ears either. The ears are healed if properly cleaned within 2 weeks. I had mine pierced at 3 months by the Dr. and when I was 14 and allowed to get my 2nd hole I had no idea what to expect because I couldnt remember what it was like.

Ditto. My 2 yr old niece has her ears pierced and I don't like it. I saw a mom getting her 3 month olds ears piereced at Piercing Pagoda last month. The little girl's cry broke my heart after they pierced her ear.

I agree with this, but at the same time I don't. My BFF lived two blocks away from me, and in order for me to do after school sports, I needed rides from people to get home (I lived in a single-parent household). My BFF's dad would drop me off and I'd walk the block and a half home, it wasn't hard to just drop me where he did, it was halfway to his house. He started to get mad that he was always dropping me off, so I ended up quitting any sport that I started at school. It sucked, but my transportation wasn't getting home until 6pm... not my dad's fault he couldn't be there, it was just the way things were.
I've noticed here lately that I do not like majority of other people's kids. The lack of discipline and respect gets to me way toomuch. If I were ever to act like that when I was growing up you could bet that my a$$ would've gotten punished. I understand that a lot of people want their children to have "free spirits" but let's be realistic people!
I think we have very similar styles...I just commented on your nursery post and we have the same color walls and many similar accents too! We have only been in our house a year but I had to redo everything because it was all beige floral wallpaper(with smoke stains). I'd rather repaint a room where the color is not my style than remove wallpaper ever again!
that sounds absolutely atrocious. Luckily for those sellers, you had a better vision. Yikes! We have a 1930's colonial that 2 gay men owned and renovated before splitting up and selling. We got lucky because they did an amazing job and had great taste.

This. I've had my ears pierced since I was 1 month old, so it's all I know. I agree having with having it done while babies are small because there is no way they can pull or tug at their ears when they're that tiny. And by the time they're able to do so, they won't because the earrings have been there all along. I will have the pediatrician pierce LO's ears. Maybe not at 1 month old like my mom did, but definitely before she is old enough to be distracted by it.
