I have my hsg at 3 today and I started taking ib profen already. I am skurreddd

I took 600 mg ibuprofen about an hour before, and it really wasn't bad at all.  A little uncomfortable, but not painful. And the discomfort only lasted a few seconds. My tubes were wide open though, which I think makes the whole thing easier. So hopefully that will be the case for you too! Good luck!

Thanks, I hope it goes smoothly I took a 800mg ibuprofen ( I knew I spelled it wrong earlier, dang it) and I am contemplating taking another one around 2 ish, but I am not a pill taker normally, so I dont know how 2 would affect me, I am driving myselft, I am a little scared to take 2, but its only ibuprofen not a pain killer, so I think I should be fine..

Thanks ladies, I am home with open tubes Dr. gave me a A+, I loved him, he was so nice and easy going. It was not too bad at all, definatley not worth all the stress I was having, I had cramps slighty worse than af cramps, and when he said "how are you doing", I said its a bit crampy, he took the speculum out and it was fine, it definatley wasn't nothing I couldn't handle.

He gave me a picture of the xray type thing, it kind of looked like a ultrasound picture, and I said, you know, I thought when I got one of these things there would be a baby on it, and he said "The next one, the next picture is going to be of your baby", I loved how encourging he was and he told to have "fun" for the next 3 months because the open tubes sometimes increases your chances.
