Re: BF and food
Some will say no to those ones but my doc never did.
Also, if your baby has certain sensitivities, you might need to go on an elimination diet. Some have to give up dairy, whey, gluten, cruciferous veggies, etc. whatever it is that baby has trouble with.
I didn't intentionally avoid anything, but I don't eat peanut butter, most fishes anyway. I did figure out very quickly that my son did not like my milk after I ate broccoli, or asparagus.
Like a pp wrote, a lot of people have to do some form of elimination diet if their LO's shows signs of problems.
Apparently DS got my iron stomach because I EBF'd and could eat anything and everything- spicy, garlicky, cruciferous veggies, beans, dairy, etc and it never affected him.
In fact, it's part of my theory why he's been such a good eater and eats/accepts such a wide variety of foods.

People have different views on alcohol, some pump and dump but it's not necessary. One drink should be out of your system in 2-3hours/next feeding. Now if you plan on drinking more than one drink I plan on pumping and have extra so I can bottle feed it to him..
