What do you think of the name Carter Scott?  Is Carter becoming too popular?  Do you consider it trendy at all?  I'm trying to avoid a "trendy" name.  Does it age well?

Carter is NMS.

I love Scott too, it's DH's name.  This would be our second son, so I wouldn't feel right naming him his first name after DH.  I wanted our first son to be named Scott, but DH nixed the idea.  Our first son has the middle name Edward after my father.

I actually really like Carter.

I would say it's on the trendy side but all the same it's normal, recognizable and spelled right. It also ages well. I don't always think, like in this case that trendy is a bad thing.

I love the name Carter.  It is on our short list for boys.

I like it.  I didn't realize it was so popular.  Carter is my grandmothers maiden name and I it's on our list.
