BF Mammas

So I am EBFing and I have rented a pump for the first month. I do not want to continue to rent because it wouldn't make any sense. So my question is what kind of pump do you have? Pros/Cons. I will be going back to work in July and will have to pump at work so I need something that I can take there each day. I am currently using the Medela Symphony pump b/c my insurance paid for the one the hospital gives you. I know the Medela will work with other Medela products but what about another brand or breast pump? TIA for any advise you can give me.

Re: BF Mammas

  • I had the Medela Pump in Style backpack version and used it for a year, pumping while at work and also at home. It worked great. My only complaint is that it's not hands free... I would love to have a hands free version! But, I woudl say that Medela is the way to go!

  • I had a Medela Pump in style also just different carrying bag. Make sure to allow ample time to set everything up and get to pumping.

  • I use a Medela Pump in Style in a carry bag.  I pump at work every 4 hours and once in the morning before I leave the house, after I feed Elijah.  Its pretty easy.  The only thing I would say is that if I had a choice, I would use a hands-free pump.

  • Thanks! I think I'm going with the pump in style.
