A Solid Food Survey
I realize this has been asked eleventy billion times, but please indulge me.
1. How many solid feedings per day?
2. How much per feeding (if you do 1/2 jar-say what brand/stage so I know how big it is, or if you do frozen cubes, say that)?
3. How many ounces of formula/bm is your LO taking per day?
4. How old is your LO?

1. 3 meals/day.
2. 3/4 to 1 jar Gerber Stage 2, usually with some rice cereal or oatmeal mixed in to make it thicker -- like a pudding consistency. We also try to give him small tastes of whatever we're eating at dinner, but I'd say he gets less than 1 tablespoon total of table food (if that).
3. He was taking about 24-25 ounces of formula per day. A couple days ago he had 28 ounces, yesterday he had 29.5, and he's on track for that much today, so I think he's getting hungrier.
4. 7 months old (officially, tomorrow).
We just started consistently last week.
We do 1 solid feeding per day.
I've been giving her 3-4 frozen grapes in her mesh feeder or MIL gave her some cereal and 1/2 jar of apples, it was a really small jar of the Earth's Best Organic first foods, she had that twice last week.
I'm not exactly sure how many ounces she's getting but she nurses about every 3-4 hours, except at night.
LO is 6 1/2 months old, see ticker for exact age.

2. How much per feeding (if you do 1/2 jar-say what brand/stage so I know how big it is, or if you do frozen cubes, say that)? Breakfast about 2/3 ounces. Lunch about 2-3+ ounces. & dinner 2-3 also.
3. How many ounces of formula/bm is your LO taking per day? About 30 ounces a day.
4. How old is your LO? 7 months and a week.
2 solid feedings a day, one lunch and one dinner.
1/2 a jar of beechnut 2nd foods at each feeding, we shoot for one veggie and one fruit a day.
eating b/w 25-28 ounces a day (both girls are)

3. Not sure, BF on demand until today. We started a schedule today of 5 feedings every 3 hours (7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, and 7pm) plus if he wakes overnight

2 - it depends. I just feed her as much as she wants. Sometimes a few spoonfuls and sometimes 1/2 a jar ( Happy Baby, Earth's Best Organic and Gerber are brands we have tried)
3 - We EBF so I have no idea how many ounces she drinks
4 - She will be 8 months on the 21st
We are lax on solids. She isn't that interested in purees, so we will be trying finger foods soon.

3. How many ounces of formula/bm is your LO taking per day? 30 oz of formula in a 24 hour period, spread out into five feedings of 6 oz each (four during the day, one night feeding).

Born 7lb, 15oz, 21-1/4, 2 mo - 12lbs, 14oz. 25", 3mo - 14lb, 4oz 26in , 4 mo - 16lb, 1oz, 26 3/4 in, 5 mo 18 lb, 4oz 27-3/4 in, 6 mo 28 3/4 in 19lb, 14oz
1. How many solid feedings per day? 2.5...gets breakfast and dinner and since he's normally sitting w/ us at lunch I give him puffs or a banana to munch on in his high chair

3. How many ounces of formula/bm is your LO taking per day? nurses every 3ish hours during the day...still eats at least once or twice at night

Sometimes I add a little Greek 2% fat yogurt to the fruit, or I mix baby oatmeal in with the veggies to give it a bit more substance.

Sometimes it's mixed with multi-grain cereal. 2-3 ounces (2 cubes) for dinner. Lately, dinner has been a combination of pureed meat with various veggies.
3. How many ounces of formula/bm is your LO taking per day? He takes about 14-16 ounces of BM at daycare and then I'm not sure how much he gets when he's home. I nurse him once in the morning before daycare and usually twice in the evening.
4. How old is your LO? 6.5 months.
1. How many solid feedings per day? Two. Breakfast and dinner. May test drive "lunch" this week.

Breakfast -- They split 2-3tbsp of cereal (either barley, rice, oatmeal or a mixture) and 2-3tbsp of fruit puree (jarred or homemade). Dinner -- 2-3tbsp of cereal and 2-3tbsp of veggie puree (jarred or homemade)
3. How many ounces of formula/bm is your LO taking per day? We offer 4, 8oz bottles/day, occasionally they will split an 8oz bottle just to get them to bedtime. They usually drink between 6-8oz/feeding so 24-32oz/day.
4. How old is your LO? 6.5 months
1. 3 meals
2. Their first meal is 3 tablespoons of oatmeal mixed with a 4oz jar of apples or pears with a little bit of apple juice. (They share breakfast) Then they each get two more 4 oz jars- one at lunch, one at dinner)
3. Around 28oz formula
4. 7 months, 1 week.
1. 2-3 (always lunch and dinner, and sometimes breakfast if we're actually not zombified)
2. As much as he wants - we're doing BLW.
3. No idea. He still nurses on demand, usually every 1-2 hours.
4. 7.5 months.
1. Eli eats 2 to 2.5 times. Breakfast and lunch and then he snacks at dinnertime.

Thank you everyone for your replies. My LO seems to be eating very little solids. He enjoys them, but he seems to want formula A LOT more than solids. We go to the doc for his 6 month tomorrow, so I'll be asking about his intake.
He takes lunch (I'm not sure how much he gets at day care, at home he gets 2 ice cubes of fruit) and then he maybe will tke 1/2 a jar of stage 2 foods for dinner. But he takes anywhere from 12 ounces up for his last bottle of the night.
