What's on your Easter menu?

I need some inspiration especially on sides and desserts.

Re: What's on your Easter menu?

  • We are doing a traditional Texas bbq. Brisket, beans, homemade bbq sauce, cole slaw, potato salad, sweet tea, & maybe some peach cobbler. The thought of  traditional Easter Sunday food (ham, ect) does NOT sound good being this pregnant!

  • I am not feeling like eating because of m/s so I am making something easy that DH will like.  I am making pot roast, wild rice, sweet corn and decorated Easter cookies.

  • It's also DD birthday. We are celebrating Easter/2nd Birthday together at brunch. The party is Dr Seuss theme so we are having green eggs and ham lol!

Spiral Cut Ham with cranberry Glaze

    Spinach and Cheese Quiche

    Roasted Potatoes

Salads - Tomato and Cheese (Cat in Hat colors), and a spinach strawberry salad.

White Texas Sheet Cake (decorated with Dr Seuss) and cupcakes.

  • Traditional Easter Dinner:  Spiral Ham, Mashed potatoes, green beans or asparagus (haven't decided yet), salad, rolls.  We may also have red cabbage and cranberry sauce.

    Cinnamon coffee cake

    Fruit salad

I am DIGGING this idea.  I'm in Texas and although we usually do the traditional Easter fare, I'm thinking a brisket feast sounds awesome.  YUM!  Thanks for the inspiration!

  • We are having a get together that is after traditional lunch and before traditional dinner...

I'm providing deserts, tea, cola, and water. Others are brining chips & dip, deviled eggs, a fruit & veggie tray, and a lunch meat & cheese tray with rolls.

  • We are going to grill. We get a half a pig on Friday, so we will grill some sort of pork. I am just not sure what marinade or cut yet. Dessert will be hot cross buns and something else. Maybe a banana cake or something with lemon in it. Sides will be potatoes on the grill for DH, sweet potato biscuits for me, and some sort of other vegetable, but again I am not sure what.
