Experience w/Catholic Medical Center or St. Josephs?

I am interested in working w/a Dartmouth Hitchcock team due to the amount of midwives they have but the options for delivery are CMC or St. Josephs. Online they look great but feedback would be awesome.

I am currently being seen by Dartmouth Hitchcook Manchester which delivers at CMC. I like the people there and I have good experience at CMC for other medical related visits. Plus I know people who have had their children at CMC and had nothing but good things to say. 

CMC can handled a lot more things then St. Joes can as they are a bigger hospital and a higher care provider. They have the MOMs Place which is very nice and the specialty nursery for babies that may need a longer hospital stay. Plus if your baby does need to stay longer they allow the mother to stay with them even if they have already been OKd for discharge.

St.Joes would most likely have to transfer you and baby to another hospital if it is anything but a normal/healthy delivery and baby.

My cousin delivered at CMC and loved it. I really wanted to, but it ended up that a higher level NICU was more important to us than having a midwife again (DD was delivered in Dover)

I LOVED my Dartmouth midwives and my CMC experience.  I went to the midwives' office that was at the CMC Medical offices.  I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is looking into them!

I'm a bit late with my response, but I delivered at CMC and it was a very positive experience. I didn't want to leave! lol. I work at CMC as well and when I go to maternity to pump a few of the nurses remember me, the nurse that delivered her even calls me by name! Also love the Dartmouth midwives at CMC and the special care nursery is fantastic. I definitely plan on going back.
