AW: Nursery organization PIPs

I still have a ton to do, but am feeling so accomplished by getting the dresser set up and organized. I still have to hang our silhouette pictures and the bug lamp. (And about a million other things...)

I didn't think that the 3 drawer dresser would be enough storage, but I am pleasantly surprised at how much room I have for everything. (We only have NB & 0-3 month clothing in the dresser, the next sizes up are in the closet.)

Thanks! We got the boxes at Ikea - they have been a life saver. I think they are called SKUBB. (It's a set of 6.)

That looks great!  We have the same dresser, but it's not nearly as organized.  We just have onesies, shoes and blankets in it.  I haven't decided exactly where I want everything yet.

Nice job -- you fit a lot in that dresser in a very organized way. I have a 9-drawer dresser -- right now, I have the four big drawers organized by size, and the smaller drawers have stuff like socks, hats, pacifiers, etc., in plastic bins. However, I have to wash everything, so I will definitely do some reorganization once that happens.

Awesome! I have those same Ikea organizers but I opted for a different Ikea 3-drawer dresser. They really do have a lot of space!

I love Ikea. Some people really hate it because it's not the sturdiest brand available. My DH is a contractor and he spent so long putting it together with extra nails and gorilla glue. It's rock solid and I think will last us a long time. For $170, I am impressed.

Yay! Your organization looks great! Thanks for posting pics. We are getting that same dresser and I was wondering what it would look like with the changing pad and if there would be any leftover space (doesn't really look like it!)

Looks great!  We got some SKUBBs too, only ours our empty at the moment.    Nice to see what they look like filled!  haha.

We have them too and they are awesome, and designed to fit perfectly into the Ikea Hemnes dresser (which OP and I both have).  OP - I am excited to see how you stood your CDs, etc. up in them...I still need to do this, but I am now more excited.

I want Skubbs!!!  We don't have an Ikea in Vegas though...and they don't sell them on their website.  Booo!

I poked around ebay and amazon...they have some of the Skubb collection - but in black.  :-/  I want Skubbs!!!

We were really impressed too that there is some actual wood in there.  Anything else Ikea we've purchased in the past has been the base-model and cheper, but apparently spending a little more really improves quality there.  We paid the same (which is how I knew you were Cdn, even before I looked at your name and location)...but like everything, don't even check out the US price...it's just depressing.

We have that same Ikea dresser, but in black-brown, and we have the Ikea drawer organizers in them as well! They are great!

 Haha! Once I was browsing Ikea online, and I saw a price for something and was so excited! And then I realized that I was on the US site. I was pretty bummed out. Even more depressing to think about it further because our dollar is so close right now. Oh well, I love Canada.

I love that the hemnes is made from mostly solid wood. The adorable drawer lining is what really caught my heart though.

Ah! I am jealous of all your super girly CD prints/colors! I tried to go gender neutral, but find myself so drawn to all the pink ones!

i bought three packages of the ikea organizers (skubb or whatever they r called) n they r awesome... i have the onesies in the medium size, the pants, dresses n pjs in each of the big ones, n the hats mittens etc in the small ones...  i have a four drawer dresser (handbuilt) n i fit them in pretty good there for not being made for them.  they are awesomeee!!!  it makes it really easy to sort everything out.  i also find that rolling all the clothes rather than typical folding helps to be able to see everything (color coordinate them etc)
