I have been lurking a bit here for the past couple of months. I usually post over on TTGP, but I've found this board to be a bit more relatable to me at this point in time.
DH & I have been TTC since July 2010. I was diagnosed with PCOS in December, started on the lowest dose of Clomid in February, O'd, ended in BFN. This month I still have yet to O...going by my temps. Yes, a totally understandably flame-worthy confession: These two Clomid cycles have been unmonitored. Incredibly stupid of me & irresponsible of my doctor? Yes. I have decided to move on to an RE due to my growing concerns of being unmonitored on Clomid (better late than never, right?) and have an appointment scheduled for the end of this month.
I'm feeling pretty sad that it has gotten to this point, especially since all of my pregnant friends or friends who are already parents are those people who were able to get KU their first month nixing protection without even putting any effort in and they can't relate to the emotional toll that this takes on a person. This website is really the only place I can connect with other women who understand all of this.
Aaand yeah.
Re: Coming out of hiding
Welcome!
It sucks that nobody can relate. It seems even my one friend who went through IF and a m/c totally doesn't understand me now. Anyone should be able to figure out that IF is a devastating diagnosis, but instead they just respond with trite sayings and stupid optimism.
Anyway, good luck with the RE!

Baby N conceived after 1 miscarriage and more than 2 years of TTC. Diagnosis was low sperm count. We found success after 3 months of anastrozole to increase DH's testosterone and one IUI.
