Suck it up...ouch

A few weeks ago I asked about pelvic pain and when I went to my appt I asked my Dr. about it he said it just comes with pregnancy you just have to suck it up. Well last night I was in so much pelvic pain I felt like an frail old woman. DH had to help me into and out of the shower, get dressed and get into bed. I could not walk on my own without holding on to something. I know my dr. said to suck it up but it seems a little excessive. I would like to ask him again about it because it did not seem normal but I don't want to seem like I am being a wimp either.

I mean there has to be something I can do so I can at least function on my own.

  • Like the PP said, I would call your doctor again and tell him it's unbearable. You poor thing. I hope you start to feel better soon. That's no fun at all.

  • I think its normal territory with every pregnancy it gets worse. My sister has been pregnant 3 times and said each time it got worse. I hate hearing her say that because I want the sympathy! Lol I'm on bedrest and I can tell its worse when I have been sitting for long periods of time and then try to get up.

  • Mine started earlier this time and there are days when it's just horrible.

Do you have a big yoga ball to sit on?  This helped me soooo much.  Just sit on it and rock back and forth. Also, if can find a gentle yoga/stretching dvd or videos online, they might be helpful.  They tend to really help me a lot.  I'm sorry you're in so much pain!

I had a yoga ball when I was pregnant with DD and it was a life saver for back pain. When I got it out recently by cat popped it I was not a happy camper. I will have to get a new one I didn't really think about it helping with pelvic pain. Thanks!!!

Try doing pelvic tilts?or at least that?s what I was told in our birthing class. Thankfully I haven?t had any pain this severe so I haven?t tried them and can?t guarantee that they will work. Good luck!
