We picked our little girls name before we even knew she was a she. We have told family and friends, and everyone loves the name, so that isn't an issue. I also have a ton of personalized items in her room.
I don't know what to do. I still like the name, but I'm not sure if I love it. Does anyone have any advice for me?
Re: Change of heart...
I think my biggest issue is we are Italian and the name isn't an italian name. Not that the name needs to match the child's nationality, but everyone else in our family has italian names.
I like this too and it will be less difficult to "correct" everyone when she's born given how similar the two are. And Gabriella is a lovely Italian name.
Also, if you are second-guessing right now how about wait until she's born to finalize your name choice. For some, holding the baby helps clarify.
Love that idea. Gabriella is 100x nicer than Brielle, imo.

I would stick with it. I was Sidney until a couple weeks before I was born, when my parents changed me to Lindsey. In high school my mother made the snarky comment to me that she wished she had named me Sidney and didn't really like Lindsey.... well thanks, mom!
For the record, I'm glad she did switch my name to Lindsey, but you might regret changing her name so last second in the future.
