My friend and her DH birthday is at the end of the month.
They are probably our closest friends. Her husband is my DH boss, so obviously he makes more money than my DH, and she also works full time and they have no kids.. So 95% of the time that we go out to dinner, for drinks, or anything they pay. NOT BECAUSE WE CAN'T. They DO NOT LET US. We often get into arguments about this. They are super generous with us, it is ridiculous. Her DH says that when they have kids we can start splitting the cost, but for now he likes to treat. Again, they are WONDERFUL!!!
Sorry for the caps, I just need to make sure we are all on the same page. lol
The four of us are going on a weekend cruise for their birthday (we paid for our tickets). They just wanted us to come so we can all celebrate together..
There is a point to this story, I promise
I am stuck. I need help with a birthday gift. I was thinking of separate gifts even though their birthday is 2 days apart (not a couple or house gift).
Any ideas??
Thank you!!!
Re: I need major help, please. NBR Kind of long.
Without knowing them, it's hard to suggest things.
Obviously something they'd like or are in to. Do they collect anything, do they have specific hobbies you could buy for? The ideas are limitless.....
I was thinking of that, but I kind of wanted it to be something for each person..
How about buying them a nice excursion on the cruise? I know the one I went on had day trips you could buy for extra $$$. Treat them to a romantic one for just the two of them or a fun group one for all of you.
EDIT: I didn't notice the separate part....I read too fast...sorry.
Edit x 2. How about a golf excursion for him and your hubby and a spa treatment for her (and you). Not sure what your price range is.
