Finally made the call to my daughter's old pediatrician's office & they're thrilled to care for our new addition. It's been almost 20 yrs since my daughter's first evaluation by Dr. B & he's still practicing!
I did our orientation with our new pediatrician's office a few weeks ago.
I'm a little bumed out that they won't be the ones seeing us at the hospital but they said they'll get us right in if we call when we get home from the hospital.

I was told the same. It's a group of 8 doctors, so whoever's on call when the baby's born will do the evalution. However, I can request Dr. B thereafter for appts & such.
This was on our list and then DH found out last week that his new doctor -- who he really likes -- is a family practice physician (we don't go to doctors nearly often enough to keep all this straight automatically) and thus we could just all use the same guy. So now it's DH's job to call and make sure the doctor treats newborns, because not all of them do. And then it would presumably be the random pediatrician on rotation that would show up after delivery but that doesn't bother us.
Thanks for the reminder, after I was scolded by the doctor about the weight gain which I'm totally over (had 2 desserts for lunch) she asked me if I had picked out a pedi which I hadn't. After reading your post, I remembered I still hadn't done this and just called 1 of the 3 that takes our insurance and they only do group interviews so we're scheduled for May 9. I consider this item done on the to-do-list even though we haven't yet decided if we'll pick them. Now we're still looking for an Infant/Child CPR/First Aid class (everyone is full until after June) and then it's just the waiting game of baby.
Delivered 3 weeks and 2 days early via emergency c/s due to pre-e
