Infertility

new here: anyone live abroad?

Hello!

I don't know if I belong here or TTTC, but we're dealing with MFI... oligoasthenoteratozoospermia to be exact (super low levels on everything but normal hormones). It's a level 3 OAT if that means anything. That's what the urologist called it here anyway.

It's very isolating to deal with IF and being in a foreign country with a different language also is difficult. On the bright side the medical system has been very thorough so far.

Looking forward to getting to you know all. Thanks!

  • Welcome to the board!

Generally, TTTC is for people starting out, IF for people going through treatments with an RE, mostly more advanced: IUI and IVFs. But there is a lot of overlap, and the board have different personalities, so I suggest seeing which one is a better fit for your preferences. Lots of girls post on both boards.

    GL with your treatments.

  • Ditto Edwina's advice on the boards, and many welcome wishes!  I think most ladies, including myself, find IF incredibly isolating, foreign country or not, which is why it is so nice to have a board like this.  I hope everything goes very smoothly for you as you begin the treatments process.

  • Welcome to the board!!!!    What country do you live in???

I am so sorry that you feel isolated.  This board has a bunch of great women, who offer support and knowledge on anything.  If you feel that this board is for you, jump right into replying to posts, usually the easy one's firsts such as BFP or the BFN posts (offer a congrats, sorry's, etc...).

    Good luck to you!!!

  • I'm in Germany. They do a lot of different things here, including internal ultrasounds at every single appointment. It's nice to have a closer look and feel slightly more informed.

    Thanks everyone!
