Recommend your bottle warmer

DD is not super picky - as long as a bottle is room temp she is ok with it - is just can't be refrigerator temp.  We have a Poland Springs water dispenser that has heated water - which is great - we don't have to heat water to make bottles or heat up ready-mix formula that has been in the refrigerator.    I am traveling to my parents' house for Easter - and they do not have Poland Springs and do not buy bottled water.  I am planning on just bringing the Organic Similac ready-mix (so I don't have to use their well water) but I don't want to have to deal with boiling water to heat bottles.  Does anyone use a bottle warmer and if so can you recommend the brand?  I have seen horrible reviews for some of them so I am a little reluctant to buy.

  • Do your parents have a crockpot?  How about just using that and keeping it on warm so you don't have to buy something you won't use when you get home?

Yes - they do have a crockpot.  Good Idea.  I was having a hard time in looking at the warmers because a) they are kind of pricey for what they do and b) many have really bad reviews.

  • A crockpot is a great idea.  That's what my DS's daycare uses to warm bottles.  However if you're looking to buy a bottle warmer I LOVE our tommee tippee one.  It works great.  It warms water rather than using steam... I've had terrible luck with the steam ones.  Also, you could just run hot water from the tap and let the bottle sit in a glass of the hot water.  Takes a little while but that's how my SIL warms my nephews bottles.

  • We have this one from BRU:

It works great and is very easy- only takes about a minute to heat.  Light goes off when its done.  I have one at my mom's house (she watches LO everyday) and ended up buying a 2nd one for at home.
