Seasonal allergies: Does your LO have any?

I didn't think seasonal allergies showed up in babies, but I am beginning to think otherwise. I have awful spring/summer allergies and the past few days my son has been sneezing up a storm every single time we step outside. does your LO have allergies? If so, what can be done?

  • Josie has been sneezing and has a dry cough. Id efinitely think it's allergies. I also think she's sensitive to the cats.

  • DD #1 does and I believe DD #2 does, as well.  DD #1 started with them around this age and our pedi mentioned that it was very rare for infants to have seasonal allergies but that's what it was.  DD #2 seems to be experiencing the same symptoms (sneezing, red/watery eyes, rubbing her nose, PND cough, etc.) and around the same time that DD #1 & I have had our allergies kick into high gear.

We treated DD #1 with Benedryl on "bad" days until she was 2 when we switched to Zyrtec.  That's probably what we'll end up doing with DD #2 as well.

  • Our son as well. As soon as our allergies ramped up he started showing signs of hay fever-runny nose, sneezing, dry cough, itching his eyes, but not acting sick at all.
