We have WILD PIGS in our neighborhood!  I know I've already plastered this news on FB, but I'm just SO shocked by the whole affair!

 

 

And um, we live just a couple miles from I-35 & Parmer -- it's not as if we're in the country or anything!

Animal Control says they've come out of wherever to get at water since it's been so dry.  Their brilliant solution is for us to trap them ourselves and then take them ourselves to the shelter.

ShernRich - Have you seen them?  This is a picture from the pool area taken by a different neighbor.  We know at least 3 of our neighbors have seen them, and they tore up our yard while we were out of town this weekend.

OMG!  I just showed DH the HOA post an hour ago about the "Feral" Pigs...we were laughing about it...but now that I see the picture, I'm shocked!! WTH?  Where on earth did that many wild pigs come from??  I was assuming it was just one or two pigs.  And you're right, we're definitely NOT in the county.

Um, seriously? This is almost as horrifying as the whole "mountain lion" incident in my highly populated, firmly suburban neighborhood last year.

I run at night and now I have to worry about being attacked by wild pigs???? I always wanted to be on the news but I would prefer my headline not be "Stupid runner attacked by pig".

I saw this on FB last night and I can't stop laughing. I know they are dangerous, but PIGS?! LOL It seems so ridiculous, I don't know what I would have thought without a picture. I just can't imagine where they came from.

And from someone who isn't their neighbor with children, they're kinda cute.

Anyways..dont get on much anymore..but had to respond to this...I live in this area too and serve on the board of the HOA...this whole pig thing is crazy, huh?

Oh..also wanted to say...our HOA and the neighboring HOA are working with the 'authorities' to control this situation..but are coming across the problem of the department being 'understaffed' but there have been multiple 311 calls.

There is a team of neighbors working to help out. So, just wanted everyone to know how great it is that neighbors are coming together and helping..as best we all can!!
