Better late than never...

I realized I have never intro'ed over here. Based on yesterday's u/s I'm due the 22nd. The tuesday before Thanksgiving... I wonder if I'll be eating hospital turkey this year...

DH and I went through a loss in November last year, so yesterday's good news was a big relief. Looking forward to getting to know you all more!

Re: Better late than never...

  • I think that's the only downside of a possible Thanksgiving baby, missing out on the Thanksgiving dinner! I've been craving Thanksgiving food lately haha.

Sorry about your loss, but I am happy for you to be able to be here with the rest of us!

  • We had a loss in November as well, and this pregnancy definitely makes it feel like the month will sting a little less.  I hope you're able to enjoy your turkey at home with your LO, or he holds out a few days and decides to introduce himself the day after  :)

Yes, it's kind of nice the way the timing worked out. I wanted to be pregnant RIGHT away, but I am glad in retrospect that I had some time to heal. I'm so relieved to be pregnant again for my EDD and the 1 year anniversary. That is, if this one sticks around- here's hoping for both of us!

  • I'm due the 20th, but measured a couple days behind so more like the 23rd possibly. I already made my mom promise that if I am in the hospital on Thanksgiving that she would bring the feast to me!

  • Welcome! I have an EDD of the 22nd as well, just need to confirm with the doctor. We'll all have something special to be thankful for this year. Although it hadn't occurred to me that I could possibly be in the hospital on/for T day. Hmm...I may need to make some arrangements with my Mom to bring dinner to me.

    Good luck!

  • Congrats and Good Luck! Maybe plan on having Thanksgiving dinner earlier in November and if you happen to be home in time then you can have it twice. Where's the downside in that?

  • Hello! I'm due the 23rd, the day before Thanksgiving. However, I will have a repeat c/s so I will deliver the week before at 39 weeks. I've already got it worked out with my family. We usually eat with my family about 2 weeks early anyway. DH and DS will go to his family's celebration and I will stay at home with the baby. (I just can't see going around that many people with a 1week old.) H&H

This is actually a great idea! I've also heard that big meals are a great way to bring on contractions so maybe at 38 weeks we'll have to try this!
